MTC Optics was founded by Sammie and Gary Cooper. Both are keen shooters, owning and using a wide variety of rifles, and are also well-known in the world of airgun shooting.
MTC Optics was born in September 2005 during the FT world championships at Weston Park. We saw an opportunity for a low overhead business, keeping prices low and our financial footing sound. This was clearly good for us and good for the customer. This is why you don’t see lots of glossy promotion and advertising from MTC Optics; ultimately the customer picks up the bill for this, and we would prefer to spend your money on the product, not the promotion.
Many of you will know us from shooting competitions, from the internet, or from Airgun World magazine. If you don’t know us, you will find us the most approachable of companies. Our products are reasonably priced but our help and advice is free so if you need anything don’t hesitate to call . We hope you find our product range of optics and accessories appropriate, if you think we’re missing something please tell us!
From October 2014 MTC Optics has been incorporated into the Diana group, the same company that owns the English PCP airgun brands of Brocock and Daystate. Additionally, the Diana Group owns the Italian shotgun brands Breda and Marocchi. All warranties and after-sales information remains unchanged – and MTC’s existing management team of eight years, Gary and Sammie Cooper, will be remaining with the company. MD Sammie Cooper says: “As the takeover brings the Diana Group’s large customer base to MTC Optics, we’re confident that existing and new customers will be able to enjoy the advantages that come with the Group’s much larger distribution and administration network.
With numerous years of industry experience, Trenier LLC has made a name for itself in a short time in the field of shooting sport optics and accessories. As the new USA based distributor for the MTC optics line, this fan favorite will bring local knowledge and expertise to the MTC family, and provide USA based dealers with a knowledgeable and enthusiastic local advocate for the MTC line.
